These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Österby website and online store, as well as any services provided at our physical salon. By accessing our website or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms in full.

These Terms are governed by Icelandic law and comply with applicable European Economic Area (EEA) consumer protection regulations.

3. Salon Services

We offer men's haircut services at our salon in Selfoss. No appointment is required — all services are available on a walk-in basis.

We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion, for example in cases of inappropriate behaviour towards our staff.

Prices for salon services are displayed in our salon and may be updated without prior notice.

4. Online Store

4.1 Orders

By placing an order through our Shopify store, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that all information provided is accurate and complete.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, for example in cases of pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity. You will be notified and fully refunded in such cases.

4.2 Prices and payment

All prices are listed in Icelandic Krona (ISK) and include VAT where applicable. Prices may change without prior notice.

We accept major credit and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.

4.3 Shipping and delivery

We currently ship within Iceland. Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days. Delivery times may vary depending on your location.

We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.

4.4 In-store purchases

Products may also be purchased directly at our salon in Selfoss. In-store prices are the same as those displayed on our website.

5. Returns and Refunds

We accept returns on unopened and unused products in their original packaging within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with Icelandic consumer protection law (Act No. 48/2003 on Consumer Purchases).

Opened or used products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, unless the product is faulty or not as described.

If you received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us at juan@osterby.is within 48 hours of receiving your order, including a photo and your order number. We will offer a replacement or full refund.

Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days to your original payment method once the return has been received and inspected.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Online Purchases)

Under Icelandic and EEA consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without providing a reason, provided the product is unopened and unused. To exercise this right, please contact us at juan@osterby.is before the 14-day period expires.

7. Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and prices are accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that all product information is completely error-free. If you notice an inaccuracy, please contact us and we will correct it as soon as possible.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Österby hár ehf or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our prior written permission.
